Calgary-based Capstone Blowout Recovery has reached a deal with Boots & Coots, a Halliburton service, for the companies to work together to provide first responder and well control services for Boots & Coots customers in Canada.

The deal will allow the two companies to bring initial incident response to the Canadian market provided
by Canadian nationals, using Canadian equipment, from a Canadian base of operations to help create
efficiencies in response time, the companies said in a statement.

The arrangement will also support the services provided under the Boots & Coots WELLSURE insurance
program provided by Lloyd’s of London/Global Special Risks. Initiated in 1997, the WELLSURE program is the product of a special arrangement between Boots & Coots Services, Global Special Risks, a leading international managing general agent, and underwriters at Lloyd’s of London.

The result is a unique bundled package that includes a full range of Boots & Coots’ well control prevention and post-response services as part of clients’ OEE insurance package.

“This arrangement is created so our companies can work together to provide Canadian oil and gas
companies access to a local well control and blowout recovery service with experienced people, the right tools to help and the valued strength of a premier international well control and prevention service
provider,” said Dwight Bulloch, president of Capstone Blowout Recovery, a division of Capstone Oilfield
Services Ltd.
